THE
A Message from your President:
It is with great honor that I accept the position as your Board
President. It is my hope, as we move forward, to create a sense of harmony
throughout our community and one of mutual respect for our neighbors. Many of
you expressed the need for more communication. This newsletter is a good start.
We intend to distribute quarterly newsletters so that the latest/greatest
information is made available to you. Suggestions are always welcomed!
Currently, we are looking at achieving the following goals
during the upcoming year:
1. Involvement from all homeowners/residents
2. Crunch-down on crime with our Neighborhood Watch
3. Beautify our community
4. Community garage sale(s)
5. Maybe a neighborhood block party!
We may, at times, have to choose to do what is difficult
or unpopular. Your Board is willing, ready and able to pick the hard right over
the easy wrong.
I want to acknowledge our "team" and to thank them in
advance for their valued time and input.

Fence and Deck Staining FAQ
Q: Is
my fence or deck gray because it's old?
A: No. The gray on a fence or deck is mold. A new fence or deck will turn gray
within 1 year if not properly protected.
Q: Why shouldn't I just paint my fence or deck?
A: This is the number one misconception homeowners have. Painting a fence or
deck is the worst thing you could do. Painting has virtually no protective
properties, has to be applied regularly and is very expensive/time consuming.
Q: Why shouldn't I power wash my fence or deck?
A: This is another big misconception. Yes, power washing does do the job of
cleaning the wood, but it also takes many years of life off of the wood each
time it is done by severely deteriorating the wood surface.
Q: How long will the color of the stain last on my wood fence or deck?
A: Depending on the weather, the stain color and properties will last anywhere
from 5-10 years on your wood fence or deck.
Q: How long will it take you to stain my wood fence or deck?
A: It will take an average of 2-3 hours to clean and stain your fence.
